Economy

Taxes, the City Bank, prices and where your coins come from.

How taxes work

Every resident pays 0.08 coins a minute. A big city pays less per resident: above 30 coins a minute, only 10% of the rest counts. Happy residents pay more and unhappy ones less, and the Mayor's Mansion, VIP and the Double taxes boost add on top.

Residents of a home without a road, or of a damaged home, pay nothing until you fix it.

The City Bank

Taxes pile up in the City Bank. It fills at full speed for 2 hours after you collect, then at half speed, then at a quarter, and is full after 6 hours (12 with VIP): collect often to keep it at full speed.

Economy and Population screens

Tap your coins at the top for the Economy screen: your taxes per hour, what you earned and spent today and the last 7 days, how your taxes come about and your city in numbers. Tap your residents for the Population screen: homes per tier, happiness, what holds homes back and the places that add residents.

Building prices

Buildings that unlock after level 20 cost more the later they unlock. Zones, services and Decorations keep their own prices.

Where coins come from and go

Most of your coins come from upgrading homes: 40 coins per tier plus 60% of the goods you deliver. Orders, freight, flights, the market, events and level-ups pay too.

Roads and buildings cost no upkeep. Coins only go out when you build, buy land, expand storage or slots, or upgrade buildings.
