Getting started
Your first roads, homes and services, step by step.
Welcome, Mayor! You start with a City Bank, a Storage building and a stretch of highway that comes out of the mountains. Everything in your city has to connect to that highway.
Your first steps
- Tap Roads and draw streets from the highway into your land.
- Place Residential Zones next to a road. People move in and pay taxes at the City Bank.
- Build power and water for your homes, then fire, police and the other services as your city grows.
- Build a Factory, make Metal and Wood, turn them into goods in shops, and deliver what homes ask for to make them grow.
- Follow the Goals on the left: each one shows what to do next and pays coins and XP.
Tips from experienced mayors
- Keep the Factory busy. Start new items before you log off: every slot that stands still is time you lose. Shops have a queue, so line up several items at once.
- Collect taxes often. The City Bank fills at full speed for 2 hours after you collect, then slower, and is full after 12 hours. Tap it whenever you play, and tap the coin bubbles above homes too.
- Upgrade Storage early. A full Storage stops production. Save Storage parts (stone, blueprint, permit) for it, and sell what you have too much of at the Market.
- Grow homes, not just more homes. An upgraded home holds many more residents than a new one, and it pays more XP. Check which goods a home asks for and make those first.
- Cover every home with services. A service building only reaches homes in its area. A red sign above a home shows what is missing; the City Pulse lists every problem in your city.
- Keep industry away from homes. Factories bring pollution and noise. Put them on the edge of town and parks between them and your homes: happy residents pay more.
- Plan your roads. Leave room for bigger buildings later, like the 2×2 Tower Zone and parks. Moving a building is free: hold it and drag it.
- Open the daily chest. Come back every day: the longer your streak, the more Diamonds the chest gives.
- Spend Diamonds wisely. Diamonds are rare. Use them for parts you really need or to finish something important, not to skip short waits.
- Play together. From level 10, join a neighbourhood: the weekly chest gives Diamonds, and other mayors can answer your questions in the chat.
Stuck? Tap a building to see what it needs. A red sign above a home tells you which service is missing. Roads and homes · Services and happiness · Factories and shops
